Carlo Dugo: International Experience and Passion for Italian Excellence

Carlo Dugo’s professional journey represents a compelling combination of managerial expertise, international vision, and a deep passion for promoting Italian excellence. Over the years, he has developed a career strongly dedicated to the enhancement of Italy’s gastronomic heritage and to supporting the international growth of Italian companies.
Born in 1967, Dugo began his professional path working with public economic institutions involved in supporting local administrations and developing informational and financial services for the agri-food sector. This early experience allowed him to gain an in-depth understanding of territorial dynamics and development policies connected to agriculture and the food supply chain—fields in which Italy expresses some of its most renowned and valued excellences worldwide.
Over time, his interest in wine and gastronomy evolved into a genuine passion. In 2005, he obtained the Sommelier qualification from the Italian Sommelier Association, marking the beginning of a path that would lead him to play an active role in promoting the quality, identity, and cultural value of Italian products. This passion materialized in 2007 with the founding of Enosis Srl, a company dedicated to supporting the development, promotion, and internationalization of Italian producers of gastronomic excellence, with particular attention to the wine and olive oil sectors. Through Enosis, Carlo Dugo has fostered meaningful connections between producers, institutions, and international markets, creating initiatives, events, and projects aimed at enhancing Italian territories and their centuries-old production traditions.

Thanks to his work, many Italian companies have had the opportunity to showcase their products in prestigious international contexts, participating in events and competitions that represent important global stages for Italian quality. Within this framework, Dugo also serves as Italian Ambassador of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the most authoritative international wine competitions, where he is also active as an international judge. Throughout his career, Carlo Dugo has received several recognitions for his commitment to promoting gastronomic culture and Italian excellence worldwide. Among these is the People of the Year 2016 award, presented by Luxury Free Time magazine, which recognized his contribution to spreading awareness of Italy’s extraordinary wine and culinary heritage across international audiences.
Alongside his entrepreneurial activities, he has also been involved in institutional and associative initiatives dedicated to fostering economic and cultural relations between Italy and other countries. In this context, he has served within the Italy-Japan Foundation and collaborated with professional organizations linked to the world of hospitality and gastronomy. At the same time, Dugo has been actively engaged in communication and dissemination activities within the gastronomic sector, contributing to the promotion of wine culture and the appreciation of Italian territories through articles, educational initiatives, and industry events. His professional path reflects a broader vision that combines economic diplomacy, cultural promotion, and international relations, with the goal of strengthening Italy’s global role as a reference point for gastronomic excellence and high-quality production.
For these reasons, Tesori d’Europa is honored to welcome Carlo Dugo within its organization, recognizing in his professional and personal profile an important asset for the development of its international activities. We extend our warmest welcome to Carlo Dugo in his new role as Diplomatic Advisor for International Affairs, where his experience, global network, and strategic vision will contribute to strengthening Tesori d’Europa’s initiatives and international partnerships across Europe and beyond.
